The investment needed to build a good website varies, depending on multiple factors, just like the cost of a house varies, depending on the number of rooms and the finishes wanted. As a rough guide, our website projects generally start in the $2,500 – $3,000 range for basic business sites and range upward depending on your unique needs.

This depends on the size and complexity of the site, and the gathering and creation of the content, but we find for a basic website the typical timeframe is around 4 weeks. If you have a required timeframe, make sure you let us know.

Yes, both of these are requirements for a website. But we can help you with both.

Websites do require regular care and attention to make sure they are secure and up to date. WordPress gets updated only a few times a year, but your plugins and theme may have much more regular updates. This is one way the community helps keep the platform as secure as possible.

We offer Care plans for out website clients so you don’t have to worry about the technical stuff and can focus on what you do well. A care plan might be just to keep the site up to date and backed up, or you can also include some content management as well. Read more about our care plans or talk to use when booking your project.

No websites are 100% secure. Failures happen, even at the server level, and no site is impossible to hack. That’s why it’s imperative you have a plan in place for your website, as it is a very valuable business commodity.

We recommend you subscribe to one of our care plans, and we ensure the site is kept up to date, backed up, and as secure as can reasonably be. We can also teach you about best practices regarding security which will reduce any risk considerably.

Building a website is a collaborative effort, and generating the content is normally your responsibility. We can help with stock images if needed, but that will attract an extra fee unless it’s included in our quote. If you don’t like creating content at all, you are in luck, as we are highly qualified in many fields. As well as being our head designer, Geoff is both a professional photographer and has a Bachelor of Arts in writing, and can certainly assist you in content creation if you need it. From copy to professional photos (if you’re in our local area), we can help you hone your message and polish your presentation.

Absolutely. We typically use Woo Commerce, which is the leading e-commerce solution and is now owned by the same company as WordPress itself.

Yes it will. We only build responsive websites, which means your website will look good on all devices, including tablets and smart phones.

WordPress is the world’s leading CMS (Content Management System).

A Content Management System is a tool that allows you to maintain the pages of your website yourself, without the need for any technical skills. A CMS allows you to edit and add pages, images, products or blog entries to your website. No additional software is required – all you need is a web browser and an internet connection.

I have been making website for well over 20 years, but consistently for about 10. I have used many technologies, including HTML/CSS static sites and managed CMS applications like Squarespace. But WordPress is the absolute best as far as I am concerned. To this end, it is the only application I use to build websites. If you want to use something else, we are not the right fit for you.

Absolutely. We can offer training by a qualified trainer, as part of your website package, or it can also be delivered as a standalone product.
