I’ve never been one for spin. Marketing has always felt hollow and ugly to me. It makes my world less real, and the people in it become plastic dolls and automatons, run by the corporate line.
I prefer real people and real communication.
Presently, I am a photographer with a penchant for strobist lighting, Digital Asset Management, and quality. I also am very keen on passing on knowledge and sharing in the photographic community. Half of my knowledge or more has come from the vast network we call the web. There are so many generous photographers out there sharing their knowledge. They are my inspiration.
I’m generally too busy or too disorganised to be one of those people. My house is a chaotic mess of screaming children, chickens, clothes, cameras and computers. I don’t often feel I have time to sit for an hour and make a cool tutorial or share some perspective with the world. Yet that’s what I want to do. That’s the aim of this blog. Whether it’s sharing cool sites, posting thoughts or writing and posting photography tutorials, that’s where I’m headed.
I’m just a bit slow at times
I am not one of these people who have power naps and then do 16 highly effective things before 9.30. I totally struggle to get out of bed and get to work by 8. At night I just want to watch a movie or browse the web. But yet… I have a blog. I will use it. Be patient
Geoff
