Some people are specialists. They focus on one area of passion and dedicate themselves to it. Take photographers. Photography is a broad visual art form that encompasses at least seven branches - portraiture, wedding, commercial, art etc.. It’s recommended to specialise in one and be more than competent in two other areas. I know photographers that are extremely good at portraiture and nothing else. They can’t do web design or graphics or whatever, but they are very, very good at that one thing.
That’s NOT me. I am an octopus. I have a strong sense of curiosity that will simply not allow me to focus on just one area. I am interested in most of the photographic disciplines, as well as being besotted by writing, communication issues, internet, web design and more. So I slowly get better at all these things. All round computer skills and photography are probably my current strengths, with web design somewhere behind, but catching up. Also in the mix is writing, cultural studies, and a doctorate of modern musical appreciation 
So this blog serves the purpose of a place to talk about my interests. From photography, web design, the internet, cultural issues, writing, and even politics.
Good things take time, and we all must start somewhere. But check back now and then, and see what’s happening.
